Wacker Neuson acquires Spanish group Enar
Mar 16, 2022
Leading light and compact equipment manufacturer Wacker Neuson Group has reached an agreement with the majority shareholder of the Spanish company Enarco S.A. to acquire 100% of Enar Group's shares.
Enar is a Spanish manufacturer of lightweight construction equipment specializing in concrete compaction. In addition to a wide range of concrete interior vibrators, the company's product portfolio includes vibratory plate compactors, impact compactors and walking rollers for soil and asphalt compaction. The purpose of this powerful alliance is to further strengthen the Wacker Neuson Group's market position and expand its international presence, especially in the field of concrete technology.
It is understood that Enar is a leading company in the European concrete industry, especially in the European and Latin American markets. The company operates globally and will generate sales of around 22 million euros in 2021. Headquartered in Zaragoza, Spain, Enar employs about 130 people.
Wacker Neuson will manage Enar as an independent brand, given Enar's bright market position and the high recognition of its products by customers. Concrete technology has always been one of the core competencies of the Wacker Neuson Group. The acquisition will strengthen this line of business. Enar will distribute its products through independent sales channels that do not conflict with Wacker Neuson's existing product sales channels, so this is a win-win for both parties.
